NAWIC - National Association of Women in Construction Store

The National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) is a professional association comprised of women in construction and related industries. The national chapter was established in 1955 by 16 founding members. Today, almost 5,500 women in approximately 170 chapters across the United States are NAWIC members.

The Greater Des Moines NAWIC Chapter celebrated its 60th anniversary this year, July 2023! We are continually seeking ways to advance the causes of all women in construction, from tradeswomen to business owners. The Greater Des Moines Chapter has members from many of the major contractors and suppliers in this area. We encourage our members to gain business contacts and knowledge, develop personal skills and lasting friendships. Educational and entertaining speakers present programs at our monthly membership meetings.
